Ronnie Mooney Set In West Coast Home
Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Mooney of Supply report that their son En-2 Ronnie A. Mooney, U.S. Navy, has settled down with his wife and baby daughter, Linda Lee Mooney, in a comfortable and attractive apartment in San Diego, Cal., where he has been assigned a tour of shore duty. Before leaving for California, the young couple spent three weeks with the elder Mooneys. Ronnie had finished up a tour of duty aboard the U.S.S. Orion at Norfolk, and was able to stretch the Thanksgiving holiday to three weeks before having to report to his new assignment in San Diego. Linda Lee was barely a month old when the vacation began. The grandmother admits that things seem a little lonely at home since the baby went to the Pacific coast-- which seems like home to the young couple, because Ronnie had married a California girl. She has made several visits to Supply since the marriage, and had “sweated out” Ronnie’s nine months in Korean waters learning to be a Tar Heel -- quite a feat for a California girl, but not too hard for this one because she and her husband’s folks took to one another like a duck to water.
